Former Lugari MP Apili Sifuna Wawire to be buried in February

 The body of former Lugari legislator, Mr. Apili Sifuna Waomba Wawire will be laid to rest on 4th February, 2012 at his home in Lunyito village of Lugari location, Lugari district in Kakamega County.

The late Apili Sifuna Waomba was born at Sivilie village of Bunyala location, Navakholo in the year 1955.

Wawire died on 15/01/2012 after suffering from hernia and stroke the decease that had put him down for over two years.

Forty Bungoma County pupils get sponsorship from Equity Bank

40 pupils drawn from all the districts within Bungoma County were overwhelmed with joy saying they were determined to achieve their academic ambitions despite their backgrounds.

They expressed their gratitude to Equity bank, Equity Foundation, US-AID, UK-AID and West FM for the support.

Mudavadi: Uhuru, Muthaura have relieved the Govt from suspense

 

Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi Thursday in Nandi County commended the move by Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Civil Service boss Francis Muthaura to step aside from their government positions following indictment by the International Criminal Court saying “They have relieved the government from being in suspense on how to debate their fate”.

North Rift Agricultural society branch gets new chairperson

 

Mrs. Tabitha Cheroitich, is the new chairperson of the Agricultural society of Kenya North Rift Branch replacing David Sitinei.

Mrs. Cherotich becomes the second woman to hold the position after vice patron Mrs. Zipporah Kittony who was the chairperson in the year 1981.
