Intelligence officers in Teso are mourning the death of their director David Muniafu who died last weekend while undergoing treatment in Kakamega Provincial Hospital.
Muniafu, 56, who had been hospitalized for two weeks, died of spleen enlargement, a problem that has been affecting him and his efforts to serve the nation for a long period of time.
He was transferred to Teso in 2005 and his last public function was during the visit of the five cabinet ministers who were sent by President Mwai Kibaki to give along lasting solution on problems of congestion and delay on goods clearance at the Malaba border.
He has left behind a widow Mary Muniafu and seven children; he will be buried at Sirgoi Location in Lurambi constituency in Kakamega County.
Confirming the incident, Teso North Dc Mrs. Josphine Ongunga regretted saying that the government has lost a hardworking, diligent and committed worker of high integrity so sudden. Switch to Our Mobile Site |
