Kakamega County recorded the best performance during the western primary schools provincial music festivals after slotting 118 positions to the national level in different classes.
Jab Star Academy, Mumias Central, Musabale, Chomoroni, Mumias Complex, Lugala, Bukolwe, Makunga, Kongoni, Isulu, Manyunje, Shimbanga, Lugala, Chimoroni, Siyombe, Namasanda, Buchango, Mitembe, Elukanji,Khungwani, Buchenya, Buka Academy, Albertos Academy, St Anne’sKoyonzo, Buchifi, Elukanji, Eshirumba, Shitochi, Nangiri, Mukumu, Butere, Sayangwe, Lusumu, Kivaiywa and St Peters Boys were among the schools that contributed to the performance
Spring Board Academy from Busia County emerged the top performing school in the festival after recording top results in 18 items hence qualifying to represent the province during the national competitions in the respective classes.
Other schools that qualified to participate in the national events from Busia county include Burumba, Busia Township, Amongura, Musokoto, Liliba, Lwanya, Mabunge, Lupida, Kokare, Sigulu Samia, Gracious Academy,Emakina,Mundulusia,Chakol,Busidibu,Ang’orom,Emakina,Emmaculate Heart, St lukes Karisa, St Josephs Busia, Blungoli and St Catherine Busia.
Bungoma emerged the third county with 57 positions for the nationals courtesy of Makutano SA, Chelekei Bahai, Chemwa RC, Ngalasia, Toroso, Kipsis, Kamusinga AC, Kimilil RC, Namakhele, Bituyu, Muji, Misikhu RC, Makunga SA, Mahakha, Kimingichi, Pongola, Nalondo CBM, Nzoia Sugar, chemwayi academy, Kimukungi, Maarifa Academy and Lugulu boarding which qualified in various classes.
Vihiga county came fourth in the event qualifying 37 items to the national level contributed by Mudasa, mabuu, logemu, Hambale, Chamakanga, Kamas Friends,Zululu, Esibembe, vohovole, Girudemesi, Mutulu, Tsimbalo, kedohi and Isikhi which qualified in varies classes.
