Misikhu high school defeated Bungoma high during the Bungoma County secondary schools games that were held at Kanduyi Stadium even after getting a second lease of life.
Bungoma high opened the score sheet at the 33 minute before being equalized in the second half of the game through a penalty shoot.
Misikhu added the winning score nine minutes through an accurate strike by its striker even after losing a penalty kick during the first half of the game.
Kamusinde high school who defeated Bungoma high 6-5 through the penalty kicks were denied the finals participation ticket after poaching non students to play during their matches.
Lugulu girls recorded the best performance in the games after recording a win in the girls leg ball, volleyball and indoor games hence qualifying to represent the county during the secondary school provincial ball games that will be held in Kakamega County.
Kolanya boys’ high school defeats Amukura
Kolanya boy’s high school from Teso North District knocked out the Teso South giants Amukura boy’s high school 2-1 during the Teso District Secondary School ball games to qualify for the provincial ball games.
This was the best result for Kolanya Boys since the past three years where it has not been qualifying for the provincials and the school attributes this to student’s high standards of discipline and focus in all aspects.
Kolanya boys’ earlier defeated Kakemer 2-1 and recorded a 1-0 win against Kocholia before being defeated by Katakwa 1-0 and going on a goal less draw against Aboloi in their home ground.
