Former national secondary school soccer champions Kakamega High School defeated Central Province representatives Tetu High 2-1 to qualify for the semi finals of this year’s battle held at the coastal zone.
Kenya U20 international Timothy Otieno was the key contributor of the first goal, supplying the pass to Jacob Onyango who scored in the 15th minutes before striking in the second goal in the 35th minute where’s Central Province side got a consolation through goal through Moses Muturi at the 75th minute.
The result officially implies that Tetu High is eliminated after being defeated by Upper Hill in the first day of the competition.
Elsewhere, even with one pending match, Kibirichia Boys have been knocked out of the tournament after losing 3-2 to Upper Hill through Calvin Odongo Michael Olunga and Timothy Luda.
In the girls leg ball goals by Dorcas Kemunto, Captain Fadhime Hamisi and Christine Njoki gave Olympic Girls’ school a 3-0 win over Kilifi Mixed Secondary School after beating Gataragwa 11-0 in their opening match hence qualifying for the semis.
