Activities in Adungosi Centre of Teso South District paralyzed the better part of Saturday for ten hours when rowdy residents took to the roads, protesting the shooting of a guard allegedly by area OCS.
The anxious mob blocked the Malaba - Busia road demanding area the OCS William Cheruyot be transferred after he allegedly shot and injured a watchman Friday night.

They set fire on the road and declined to listen to the area DC Dennis Omosa demanding an immediate arrival of the Western Provincial Police Commissioner Alfred Ombaba.
Teso OCPD Elphas Korir arrival to the scene did not make any change as the crowd jeered him and only decided to listen when Maskini Okodoi an MP aspirant calmed them down.
Confirming the incident after ten hours of protest, Western PPO Ombaba said that he will take the bullet for investigations calling for peace as he rolled out inquiries over the issue.
He assured to take a stern action against the officer immediately the investigations are done.
Meanwhile, security officers are camping at the stations gate to keep away the charged mob who had attempted to force themselves in to lynch the suspect.
The watchman Dennis Omukaga Omoit, 35, was shot on the left thigh and he is currently undergoing treatment at Alupe Hospital in Busia.
Speaking at the scene,eye witnesses and fellow watchmen claimed that the embattled OCS was at a drinking place before he attacked the man who was guarding a lorry.
