Mt.Elgon- Bungoma County: Mt. Elgon Mp Fred Kapondi has condemned the killing of four people on Wednesday night at Nomorio location in Mt. Elgon District saying that the act was inhumane and that the culprits’ will be brought to book.

Addressing the residents after visiting the scene of the crime, Kapondi reiterated that the problem lies between three families from that area and urged the elders to sit down with the members of those families know where the problem originated and how to stop it from happening again.

He refuted claims made by a local newspaper that the outlawed militia group SLDF has resurfaced again saying that there is nothing like that but some few bad people who want to give Mt.Elgon a bad name.

The Mp urged the residents to cooperate with police officers to enable them arrest the perpetrators to enable Mt.Elgon region to develop.

He also promised the residents that in two weeks time he will start constructing houses for security officers in the area as a way to curb insecurity that has been rampant and to bring sanity and peace to the residents.

Speaking at the same function, Mt.Elgon Deputy Police Officer Ezekiel Kiche asked the residents to stay calm and urged whoever has information concerning the incidence to report to the police.
