Mumias, Kakamega County - Various teams in the ongoing Mumias Peace and Unity challenge cup in continued to register mixed results in the tournament over the weekend.
On Saturday at Bumini Primary School the host Bumini fc recorded a barren draw of 0-0 with their close neighbours Khaimba fc. Later at the same ground Mahola fc also recorded a barren draw of 0-0 with their close neighbours Khaunga fc
On Sunday at Lubinu playground, the host Lubinu fc thrashed their arch-rivals Lwasambi fc 3-2.
The Lubinu goals were scored by Paul Were on the 32rd minute, Gerard Okumu on the 45th minute and Fred Wasakhulu on the 78th minute. While the Lwasambi goals were netted in by Issa Were on 9th minute and David Masoso on 87th minute.
