Bodies of four people who were killed last week on Wednesday night by unknown assailants were buried Tuesday at their respective homes in Nomorio village Mt.Elgon District.
The couple Jacob Kwemoi, 23, his wife Lydia Chelangat, 19, who was four months pregnant and their cousins Micka and Brian Kiplangat were killed while having dinner.
Speaking at the funeral Mt.Elgon District Commissioner Mr. Mutisya Muli condemned the incident and assured the residents that security has been beefed up to make sure people in the area stay in peace.
The DC reiterated that the investigations are ongoing and urged the residents to cooperate with them so that the culprits can be arrested.
The area councilor Mr. Joseph Ngomat also called on the residents to embrace forgiveness and forge ahead with development issues that will help the community grow. Switch to Our Mobile Site |
