The East Africa Community Permanent Secretary David Nalo died at Nairobi Hospital Wednesday night after succumbing to cancer.
He was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer in February this year, a type of cancer involving cells of the immune system called lymphocytes.
Following his demise, the Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta described him as, “one of the key assets and resource persons for this Government.”
Uhuru said the PS who was appointed in 2003 has diligently served Kenyans without fail.
“PS Nalo was an industrious and conscientious man and we will indeed miss him. I pray the God grants the family, friends and loved ones strength and comfort during this time of grief. “
Jimnah Mbaru a Former Chairman of The N.S.E. Chairman Dyer and Blair Investment Bank said, “It is very sad to lose David Nalo. He was a great PS with a lot of energy. He was a key man in our conception of vision 2030. What a loss.”
The late served as PS in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and prior to that in the same capacity in the Ministry of Planning and National Development. Switch to Our Mobile Site |
