Prime Minister Raila Odinga has called for decentralization of the education system in the country in line with the devolved system of government.

The PM asked education experts to come up with a structure that will delegate most of the tasks being performed at the national level to the counties. 

The United Democratic Forum Party –UDFP is set to sponsor a motion in parliament next week that is aimed at leading to the formation of a parliamentary select committee that will meet key stakeholders of the Mombasa Republican Council-MRC in what it termed, “find a lasting solution that seeks to offer justice to the disaffected.”

According to the Medical Superintendent at the hospital Dr. Bitta Ceaser, the award which aims at improving maternity service delivery among hospitals came as a surprise as many hospitals go through assessment yearly to rate the best among them in offering maternity care.
