Ecobank Named African Bank of the Year in African Banker’s 2012

Ecobank has been named the African Bank of the Year in African Banker’s 2012 fending off competition from six other nominees to win the highly coveted prize.

The Group CEO Arnold Ekpe’s was also awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award for making contributions to African banking. Mr. Ekpe’s the CEO was awarded due to his outstanding contribution to business in Africa, in a career spanning over 30 years

The annual awards, which reward outstanding talent and achievement in Africa’s financial sector, were held under the patronage of The African Development Bank at its Annual General Meeting in Arusha, Tanzania.

ABLA was established to recognize the accomplishments of responsible and ethical business leaders in the private sector.

Ecobank is a full-service bank providing wholesale, retail, investment and transaction banking services and products to governments, financial institutions, multinationals, international organizations, medium, small and micro businesses and individuals.
