PANIC has gripped Kona Mbaya village in Sinoko location, Likuyani district following the discovery of an infant’s body in one of the villager’s compound partly devoured by dogs.

It’s suspected that the body was dumped by unknown mother who had just delivered a few moments ago.

According to Dinah Musieba, the body was discovered Sunday morning as dogs were seen devouring it along her perimeter fence by her children.

“The beasts had fed on the head and one leg but the figure revealed a baby girl”, said the old woman.

Police officers from Matunda police station removed the body to a Kitale mortuary and pledged to commence investigations with a view to arresting the culprit.

Area deputy police chief Gregory Mutiso confirmed the incident.
