A middle aged man is nursing serious injuries after his wife splashed hot water on his back and buttocks leaving him with severe burns.

Mr. Daniel Injera who resides in Amalemba near Kakamega town is nursing the injuries at the Nala Community nursing home after his beloved wife Lyona Sylvia Lihanga did what she thought was the best discipline to his husband.

According to Daniel, his wife was against his employer’s request that he represents him in their company’s driver funeral that perished in road carnage.

“I was to represent my boss at our driver’s funeral in Kimilili and when I shared it with my wife she said she wanted to be with me because she was feeling quite unwell,” said Dan when West fm visited him at his hospital bed.

He says his wife started raging with anger as to why he would go to the funeral and yet she was not feeling well.

“She engaged me with words but I just kept quiet, I took my shoes to wipe at the bedroom door, she came and told me to pave way for her as she entered the kitchen, I thought she was preparing some food but as I was continuing to make my shoes clean, very hot water was poured at my back and buttocks,” said Daniel.

“I can’t sit, I can’t sleep by side but by my stomach which is very tiring”, adds Daniel in lots of pain.

His fear is that he owns two vehicles and the wife ran away with the keys. He says he is afraid his cars might be sold by the wife without his consent.

He also mentions that upon doing that, the wife picked some other properties in the house before fleeing including some cash cheques.

“She took away some property in the house and also went away with my two vehicle keys and I am afraid something might happen to them, she also carried away some of my signed cheques,” said Daniel.

Lyona Sylvia Lihanga who Dan says hails from Rosterman area of Kakamega is now at large as his husband continues to be in pain at the hospital.

Note: We had to edit the photographs due to their disturbing nature as the man is badly burnt.
