The Regulation of Wages (General) (Amendment) Order 2012 made by the Minister for Labour sets the legal basic minimum monthly wages (exclusive of house allowance) and the minimum daily and hourly rates (inclusive of housing allowance) for workers working in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu cities and all municipalities and town councils. Those basic wages are payable effective 1^st May, 2012.
