Middle aged man hangs self over disagreement with girlfriend

Residents of Mbaya village of Wamulama location are in shock after a man’s body was found hanging from the roof of his house on Friday morning.

Justus Chui aged 26 is said to have committed suicide after they had had a relationship disagreement with her girlfriend who at the moment is at large.

According to the locals, the deceased has been having quarrels with his girlfriend for sometime now whom he used to complain had an affair with another man.

Confirming the incident the area chief Herman Kibunjia has urged the residents to seek guidance and counseling from marriage counselors instead of taking actions that will endanger their lives.

Police from Vihiga have commenced investigations in to the matter as the body of the deceased is preserved at Vihiga District Hospital Morgue.

Elsewhere in Kaimosi, residents are in panic after the discovery of python in the region.

The residents say that the dark coloured reptile lives in the nearby Kaimosi forest and always comes out to feed from the remnants of food at Friends College Kaimosi.

They claim the reptile has now started feeding on their livestock and are it may turn on the soon. They are calling upon the government through the ministry of wildlife to tame the reptile lest it posses more danger to the locals
