NYS Senior Superintendent Mr. Athuman Odha (left) disclosed this when he spoke to the media at the end of a recruitment exercise for Lugari District that was held at Lumakanda Township grounds on Wednesday. While thanking the good turnout of ladies who participated in the exercise, Odha revealed that 4 of the 12 recruits from the district were females. Praising the area provincial administration for providing enough security, Odha noted that the exercise was free of any malpractices since it was conducted in an open and fair manner. He, however, identified lack of certificates of good conducts as one of the major drawbacks facing majority of youthful job seekers and urged them to apply for this vital document in order to improve their chances of competing favourably with others. “The only worrying problem, which seems to be the trend across the country, is the large number of youths in possession of good academic papers but lacking certificates of good conducts. This aspect is technically knocking them out of such recruitment exercises,” observed Odha. The officer praised area residents for conducting themselves well throughout the exercise. Odha congratulated successful recruits and informed them that they are expected to report to NYS headquarters in Gilgil on 11th August 2012 for training.
