Four women raped in Koyonzo sublocation in Matungu District after a raid

Four people were Saturday evening raped my unknown people in different houses and shops at Koyonzo Market of Matungu District.

The incident occured between 7 and 9 pm when it was raining heavily where one lady, a shop owner was robbed Sh 40,000 before being raped while
the others where raped from there homes.

The event also saw a number of houses neighboring the shopping centre being broken and property of unestablished amount stolen from them.

A source to West Fm which sought anonimity revealed that the administration police attached to Koyonzo chief's centre were informed
of the crime, but never turned up.

The victims were taken to Matungu District Hospital for treatment after the police officers from Mumias Police station led by their boss Mr George Seda arrived at the scene.

The event occured   two days after onother robbery incident at Ikulu Moyo village in Lung'anyiro sublocation leading the residents to decry of insecurity.

Mr Seda said they are setting up strategies to arrest those who involved in the act to face the law.
