The assistant chief of Kochek Sub-Location in Teso South District Tuesday Evening assaulted a mentally handicapped 12-year old girl who was found mislaid.

The girl was allegedly found along Malaba – Amukura road by a good Samaritan Terry Etyang who took her to the administrator’s home for help.

Drama started when the drunkard assistant chief Mr. Nicholus Angate attacked the physically challenged girls beating her, tearing her clothes and tightly held her between his legs calling the girl Al-shabaab Militia.

The good Samaritan together with his family watched the traumatizing scene in disbelief shouting for help after their effort s to get the girl off his legs bore no fruit.

“He placed the girl between his legs and held her up tight beating her before tearing her clothes saying that I had brought him an Al-shabaab terrorist” explained the good Samaritan.

Confirming the incident, Teso South DC Mr. Dennis Omosa retaliated against the ordeal terming it the highest level of crime vowing to take stern action against the administrator.

The DC revealed that Mr. Angate has had  several cases of indiscipline and drinking all through adding that he had  sent him a warning later but he did not take a step of rectifying his mistakes  .

Mr. Omosa said that  he has instructed the District Child Officer to take the girl to the Hospital for check up to determine the extent of  assault saying he is not going to relent till an action will  be taken against the administrator .

“Officers are currently on the ground to establish the real cause of the incident, it is unfortunate and I regret his action, stern action will be taken against him,” said the DC

Meanwhile eye witnesses have recorded statements at Kotur police post as police launch a through inquiry over the issue.
